Location: Randolph, NJ
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support our clients accounting operations. This role is critical in managing the financial flow of the business—handling everything from invoices and reconciliations to commissions and royalties. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, familiar with accounting fundamentals, and proficient in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Review, verify, and enter invoices into QuickBooks Online
- Track and reconcile commissions and royalties (including payments to Servicemaster)
- Perform debits and credits journal entries accurately and efficiently
- Conduct regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with month-end closings and prepare financial statements as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks Online
- Use Excel to manage and analyze financial data and reports
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- 2 years of experience in an AP/AR or general accounting role
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, especially debits and credits
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Industry experience in disaster restoration, real estate, or construction is a plus
