

Tax and Treasury Director POST NUMBER: 449589
Location: Hybrid – 3 days/week in NYC
Compensation: $200,000–$250,000 base
Overview:
Thriving Financial Services firm is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead treasury and tax functions at a senior level. This role is responsible for managing liquidity, capital structure, tax compliance, and financial risk, while providing strategic financial guidance to support long-term business growth. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of hands-on technical expertise and leadership experience in both domestic and international contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
Treasury Management
- Design and implement strategies to optimize cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
- Manage short- and long-term cash forecasting to ensure adequate operational funding.
- Oversee banking relationships, debt structures, and investment policies.
- Lead efforts to mitigate financial risks related to currency, interest rates, and market conditions.
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance in all treasury operations.
- Oversee planning and compliance for a broad range of taxes, including corporate, indirect, and transfer pricing.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive tax efficiency and reduce risk exposure.
- Manage tax audits, dispute resolutions, and coordination with external advisors and authorities.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and evaluate potential business impacts.
- Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making and enterprise risk management.
- Deliver regular reporting and analysis to executive stakeholders.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (CPA, CFA, or advanced degree preferred).
- 10 years of progressive experience in corporate treasury and tax, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
- Expertise in domestic and international tax regulations, financial instruments, and risk management.
- Strong proficiency with financial systems, ERP platforms, and treasury/tax tools.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional projects and teams.
- Background in a multinational or publicly listed organization.
- Experience in M&A-related tax strategy and global transfer pricing.
- Strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills.
