Senior Treasury Consultant - 6 Month Contract POST NUMBER: 449778
Our client is sourcing a Senior Treasury Consultant for a 6-month contract.
About the Opportunity
- Direct the management of cash balances, intercompany financing, and foreign exchange activities to support global operations
- Partner with senior leadership to shape and implement short- and long-term treasury strategies
- Monitor bank accounts and daily liquidity positions, ensuring efficient deployment of cash across entities
- Develop and refine cash flow forecasting models for business units and corporate consolidation
- Oversee the setup and closure of banking structures and maintain banking relationships
- Execute and analyze foreign exchange transactions on a recurring basis, with ad hoc exposure reviews as needed
- Optimize treasury tools and processes, with a focus on automation, accuracy, and reporting quality
- Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with governance and financial control policies
- Manage internal funding transfers and monitor interest expenses or income on a regular basis
- Prepare and submit covenant compliance reports and other debt-related metrics
- Lead a small treasury team, ensuring proper review of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Provide timely financial insights and respond to special projects or requests as needed
About You
- 5 years of experience in corporate treasury or related finance roles, preferably in multi-currency and international environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional designation (CPA, CFA, or CTP) completed or in progress is preferred
- Deep understanding of treasury frameworks, financial policies, and international cash management practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced financial modeling skills; familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics a plus)
- Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; experience managing and mentoring finance professionals is highly valued
- Prior experience in a high-growth or project-driven industry is considered an asset
