Vaco is hiring an onsite Accounts Receivable Specialist, for one of our top clients in the Glendale area. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and maintaining up-to-date records of customer accounts. This role works closely with internal departments and customers to support the company’s financial operations, improve cash flow, and minimize aged receivables. This role is onsite with a pay up to $27 an hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely delivery of invoices and supporting documents to customers.
- Work with internal teams to meet all accounting requirements in line with contracts and company policies.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up with customers to ensure timely payments.
- Address and escalate overdue accounts with professionalism to resolve payment or billing issues.
- Process return merchandise authorizations (RMAs) and credit memos.
- Identify and support improvements to AR processes.
- Coordinate with Accounting and Accounts Payable for customer refunds and offsetting transactions.
- Encourage customers to switch from check to ACH payments.
- Prepare weekly AR aging reports with collection updates.
- Gather and verify payment details for accurate cash application.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and assess accounts for potential bad debt.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external customers.
- Research and respond to accounts receivable inquiries.
- Provide documentation and support during annual audits.
- Assist the General Accounting team as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Financial Operations Manager or Controller.
- 4 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
- Familiarity with Quantum software is a plus but not required.
