Role - Payroll Analyst
Salary - $75,000-90,000 Annually
Location - Downtown, Manhattan
Job Description-
Responsibilities
-
Verify payroll outputs for accuracy and sensibility before system processing.
-
Conduct standard audits and data verification for all payroll data to maintain accuracy at both employee and employer levels.

Validate employee/payroll/tax records, ensuring compliance with employment, labor, and regulatory standards.
-
Prepare variance and validation reporting; balance and control earnings and deduction totals; inspect system output and correct out-of-balance conditions.

Create and prepare general ledger entries in collaboration with HRIS and Finance teams.

Monitor and file tax reports and forms; respond to tax inquiries and perform quarterly/year-end balancing.

Run structured and ad hoc reports for validation, financial reporting, and internal requests.

Prepare wires and fund Payroll and Benefits accounts; monitor transactions and resolve any issues.

Provide support for wage garnishment processing and validation.
-
Support U.S.-based union payroll processing and invoicing.

Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Technical Skills
-
Experience with Workday payroll is preferred.
-
Demonstrated experience processing payroll in a multi-company, multi-jurisdictional environment.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
-
Prior analysis and audit experience.
-
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
-
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., functions, pivot tables, macros).

Strong data integrity focus with experience in system/database troubleshooting.
-
Payroll and time administration experience, including compliance, troubleshooting, and reporting.
-
Familiarity with HRIS platforms; Workday is a plus.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-
Excellent customer service orientation.

Solid presentation skills.
Experience & Qualifications
-
Minimum 3 years of relevant payroll experience.

Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification preferred.

University or college degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
