Payroll Analyst POST NUMBER: 452116
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process multi-state payroll with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and customer service
- Audit and recalculate employee wages and taxes based on timesheet changes and mobility requirements
- Support expatriate and inpatriate payroll functions including foreign exchange, taxable benefits, and year-end adjustments
- Reconcile intercompany payroll activity and prepare journal entries
- Drive process improvement efforts and support payroll transformation workstreams
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure proper tax setup and policy alignment
- Manage escalations and resolve complex payroll-related issues
- Ensure accurate W-2 preparation and tax reporting
- Maintain compliance with state, local, and international payroll regulations
- Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives
REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years of payroll experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Deep understanding of payroll operations, including input validation and output auditing
- Familiarity with third-party payroll platforms (ADP, Ceridian, etc.); experience with Workday and SmartCompliance is a plus
- Strong Excel skills required (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Associates degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across departments
- Experience with payroll transformations or automation tools (Alteryx, Power BI, etc.) is a plus
- Experience working with international mobility payroll (e.g. tax equalization, relocation, foreign exchange) is strongly preferred
