Senior Accountant
Pay: $90,000-100,000/year
Location: New York, NY
Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.

Conduct detailed reconciliations of complex accounts.

Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to management to aid in decision-making.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.

Assist with tax preparation and compliance as needed.

Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.

Ad-hoc projects and reporting as required.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Four (4) years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a similar industry.

Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-
CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA preferred.
