Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to oversee the billing operations of our organization. This role is responsible not only for executing and managing complex billing tasks but also for supervising a small team of billing professionals. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of billing processes, and leadership capabilities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all billing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily billing operations, ensuring invoices are issued accurately and on time.
Supervise, mentor, and support a team of billing clerks or associates; provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
Monitor team performance and establish best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations, including audits and internal controls.
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Finance, Sales, Customer Service) to resolve billing discrepancies.
Analyze billing data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to billing and revenue recognition.
Develop and maintain billing procedures and documentation.
Handle escalated client billing issues professionally and in a timely manner.
Generate and distribute reports on billing status, aging accounts, and team productivity.
