We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Demand Planner to join our dynamic team in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing supply planning activities to ensure optimal inventory levels, production efficiency, and timely delivery of automotive components and finished goods. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain operations, forecasting, and vendor management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Develop and maintain supply plans based on demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory targets.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and operational inputs to ensure supply availability and minimize shortages or excess inventory.
- Collaborate with demand planners, production teams, procurement, logistics, and sales to align on supply strategies.
- Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and delivery schedules to proactively address potential disruptions.
- Manage and optimize inventory levels across multiple manufacturing and distribution sites.
- Lead supply planning meetings and provide visibility to critical supply chain metrics (e.g., OTIF, inventory turns, backorders).
- Utilize ERP and supply chain planning systems (MRP, PSI; SYSPRO ERP) to manage supply and inventory data.
- Drive continuous improvement in supply planning processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support new product launches by coordinating supply readiness and ramp-up plans.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through scenario planning and contingency strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 8 years of experience in supply planning or materials management, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lead times, and inventory management.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (MRP, PSI; SYSPRO ERP) and advanced Excel or data analytics tools.
- Experience working with international suppliers and understanding global logistics.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- APICS/CSCP or related certification is a plus.
- Mandarin (Chinese) is a plus
