Position Summary
Vaco is partnering with a dynamic franchise management company overseeing a portfolio of multi-site locations across Georgia. Our team is passionate about operational excellence, financial integrity, and supporting the growth of our partners. We are seeking a Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist to manage high-volume AP operations across our franchise network. This role is critical to ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, lease payments, and vendor transactions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AP workflows, a proactive mindset, commitment to growth and entrepreneurial mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of invoices weekly across multiple franchise locations
- Manage lease payments and recurring vendor obligations for multi-site operations
- Reconcile AP accounts and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams
- Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company and IRS standards
- Prepare and issue 1099s and support year-end audit processes
- Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to streamline AP procedures
- Monitor outstanding checks and ensure timely resolution of payment issues
- Support ACH, wire, and check payment processing with accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with system upgrades, automation initiatives, and process documentation
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a multi-unit or franchise environment
- Strong understanding of lease payment structures and vendor management
- ERP Experience: (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, formulas, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
