We have been engaged by a well established and growing industrial construction company in its search for an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations and support planned growth. The company offers stability and a competitive compensation/benefits package. This is an onsite role based in the East Metro Atlanta area, ideal for someone seeking long-term stability in a privately held, growth oriented environment.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this Controller position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, leading month end close processes, ensuring job cost integrity, maintaining compliance with US GAAP, cash flow forecasting, establishment of internal controls and development of processes and systems. This role will handle oversee all GL, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as well as WIP schedules, percentage completion project accounting, AIA billing, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate for this Controller position will have:
- 9-11 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Deep knowledge of construction accounting, including job costing, WIP schedules, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, and AIA billing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Certification: CCIFP - Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional - strongly preferred. CPA preferred.
- Netsuite experience is required. Preference given to those with Netsuite implementation experience.
- Strong process improvement mindset with the ability to drive change, implement controls and processes, and streamline reporting.
- A proactive communicator who can work cross-functionally with project and operations teams.
- Track record of job stability
