

Associate Director, Project Financial Analysis POST NUMBER: 456317
Our client is looking for an Associate Director of Project Financial Analysis to join their team in a strategic leadership role responsible for enhancing financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes across a dynamic and growing organization. This individual will lead a team of analysts and serve as a key liaison between project management and senior finance leadership, driving performance insights and process improvements.
- Manage and develop a team of financial analysts, overseeing performance, career growth, training, and employee relations.
- Collaborate with finance and project management teams to refine revenue forecasts, monitor budget adherence, and analyze variances.
- Review project scopes and financials proactively, identifying risks and opportunities to improve profitability and resource allocation.
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reports, including margin analysis, backlog forecasting, and month-end close coordination.
- Champion initiatives to streamline financial models and reporting systems, enhancing decision-making capabilities across departments.
- Partner with business leaders to provide actionable insights and support strategic planning efforts.
- Contribute to long-term financial planning by modeling scenarios and assessing the financial impact of strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with legal and client services teams to evaluate contract terms and ensure financial alignment with project goals.
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with operations, HR, and IT to align financial processes with organizational needs and systems.
- Develop training materials and lead workshops to improve financial literacy across departments.
- Define and track key performance indicators to measure project health and team effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance required.
- 7 years of experience of progressive finance experience.
- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within project-based environments.
- Strong understanding of forecasting, backlog management, and profitability metrics.
- Hands-on experience with budgeting cycles and month-end close processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, CRM platforms).
- Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset and strong communication skills.
