Location: New York, NY (On-site Monday-Thursday, Friday WFH)
Salary: $145,000-165,000 base plus bonus



About the Role
Thriving global private investment firm is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their Finance team in New York. In this role, you will work closely with our Senior Accountant and serve as a key liaison between corporate finance and hotel-level operations. You'll oversee critical accounting functions, drive financial reporting, support audits, and ensure compliance with lender requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the month-end close process in collaboration with the Senior Accountant, including:
  • Reviewing and posting journal entries (consolidating entries, accruals)
  • Performing corporate balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintaining fixed asset registers and roll-forwards
  • Reviewing hotel-level financials for accuracy
  • Serve as the primary corporate contact for hotel Directors of Finance
  • Prepare consolidated and standalone financial statements for audits, tax filings, and group reporting
  • Support external audits by providing requested documentation and insights
  • Monitor and forecast cash positions across the hotel portfolio
  • Oversee corporate bank activity and proactively manage contributions and distributions
  • Analyze hotel-level cash reserves and recommend distributions to optimize asset utilization
  • Manage corporate payments including property taxes and forecasted disbursements
  • Oversee lender reporting and debt compliance, including:
  • Debt recalculations and timely payment requests
  • Maintenance of lender reporting calendars
  • Coordination with internal and third-party stakeholders to meet compliance deadlines
  • Ensuring visibility into all loan covenants affecting business decisions
  • Prepare internal reporting, including monthly basis calculations
  • Support ad hoc projects involving financial analysis and project management
    Qualifications
    • 5 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably direct responsibility for multiple hotel properties
    • Corporate accounting and debt compliance experience is strongly preferred
    • MBA and/or CPA designation preferred
    • Advanced Excel skills required (e.g., XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, VBA)
    • Highly analytical with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
