About the Opportunity
Assist in the review of Large Contract Revenue Recognition Checklists to ensure compliance with IFRS15
Design and implement process improvement initiatives to eliminate manual consolidation, and improve general day-to-day processes
Work with business unit finance teams to identify and implement efficiencies related to the financial close process.
Participate in the coordination of the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process including the year-end audit
Build excellent relationships with the Team and Portfolio Finance Teams and proactively manage these relationships to ensure continuous feedback is obtained and acted upon.
Complete detailed review of account reconciliations, lease entries and more complex accounting entries.
Support business unit finance teams with GP account creation and other GP inquiries.
Perform consolidated analysis of business performance.
Manage intercompany relationships and resolve intercompany variances.
Perform other ad-hoc special projects/operational analysis as they arise.
About You
Master’s in finance / CFA pursuant or completed or near completion of the CA/CPA/ACCA designation.
3-5 years in finance and accounting, with experience in a technology-based environment being an asset.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices and applications under IFRS.
Effective oral, written and business communication skills
Professional interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and/or in a team
Proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
Ability to multi-task and work in a rapidly changing environment
Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and proactively identify, review, and implement process improvements.
Proficiency in BPC and Microsoft GP systems is an asset
Salary Range
$90,000 - $95,000/year
