Role: Senior Payroll Analyst
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000/annually Benefits
Location: Long Island City, NY (*Hybrid - 3 days a week following training period*)
Job Description:
We're looking for a skilled Senior Payroll Analyst to join our team in Long Island City, NY. In this role, you'll be the primary support for our Senior Payroll Manager, playing a key part in ensuring our payroll operations are accurate, compliant, and efficient.
You'll manage a variety of critical tasks, including payroll reconciliation, tax filings, and complex reporting for over 4,000 employees. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex issues, managing special projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams like HR and Accounting. The ability to work independently, analyze data, and present findings to senior leadership is essential.
What you'll do:

Manage weekly payroll for over 4,000 employees.

Conduct detailed payroll reconciliations and audits to ensure accuracy before general ledger postings.

Oversee all aspects of payroll compliance, including taxes, garnishments, and child support orders.

Handle escalated payroll issues and provide expert support to the team.

Partner with HR and Accounting to ensure seamless data flow and communication.

Lead payroll-related projects, such as system upgrades and process improvements.

Independently create and analyze complex reports to identify trends, ensure compliance, and support business needs.

Prepare for and support internal and external audits.
What you'll need:

A strong background in payroll, with a deep understanding of accounting, general ledger reconciliation, and union payroll practices.

Proven ability to work independently and interact with senior management.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Experience with payroll for a large employee base (4,000 ).
