About the Opportunity
They are building a new cyber security team and will be branching off from their general IT team. They do have cyber security technical experts in the team but they are lacking people management skills. St
Their main challenge is the OT side where they are finding candidates with Cyber security only but are lacking IoT side. Experience coming from manufacturing and industrial background. They are open for people leader, cyber security expert and understand that they are a manufacturing company, have boots on the ground, PPE and orange hats, IT infrastructure is very stable, create business plan and budgets for 2026. This person will not only focus locally in Hamilton as they have a centralized IT team so this person will support Montraeal, Mexico, USA.
Since they are in automotive industry they get TISAX audit (ISMS – information security management systems). The also follow NIST framework for security. This role will also be responsible working with clients and auditors for security audit, which will be a big part of the role. For IOT Cybersecurity they use Nozomi networks, Dark trace, DLP tools, ServiceNow for ITSM, Nessus for vulnerability scanning, etc.
One of the main responsibilities of the role is to build the processes and workflow for industrial and IoT security. They have multiple applications which are connected to the shop floor network which needs security. Since, they want to avoid any attacks and damage on global level, all continents work independently for safety reasons.
About You

Strong hands on cybersecurity exp with around 8 to 10 years of experience

Understanding of network security and firewall (they use Checkpoint, but are open for any other)

Min 3 to 5 years of people management and leadership skills

Must have understanding of IoT (Have you managed or worked on IoT products with regards to security?)

Min 3 to 5 years of IT Audit

Be able to commute to Hamilton office 4 days / week

Salary Range
$140,000/year
