

Payroll Administrator POST NUMBER: 457421
- Assist in processing the weekly payrolls for 250 employees including union and nonunionized staff in Ontario
- Assist in payroll funding including issuing invoices for payroll back-charging, ensure timely and accurate record of payroll transactions in the accounting software
- Assist in year-end filing including T4/T2200/EHT annual return/WSIB annual reconciliation
- Handle payroll and benefits administration including new hire setup, status changes, and termination
- Adhere to all payroll, tax, union, employment standards regulations, and deadlines to make sure compliance is met
- Log payroll, time and attendance tracking, and manage responses through prompt and courteous communication with providers, employees and management, escalating concerns as necessary
- Monitor Time and attendance for site employees by running daily reports, ensure all time punches are accurate, and communicate time discrepancies with site supervisors
- Maintain digital and physical employee files and all payroll documents
- Look for ways to improve processes and create efficiency within the department
- Work closely with other departments and assist in other duties as required
- Accounting duties related to payroll funding
- Other payroll related day to day jobs
About You
- 3 years of payroll experience including:
- year-end filing including T4/T2200/EHT annual return/WSIB annual reconciliation
- recording payroll transactions in the accounting software.
- Experience with large ERP software
- PCP designation or working towards obtaining PCP
- Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's)
- Experience with Dayforce HCM.
- Experience in payroll accounting
- Experience in construction industry
- Experience working with unions
Salary Range
$70,000 - $75,000 /year
