Role: Vice President of Accounting & Finance
Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 bonus
Location: Akron, OH (on-site)
About the role: A growing manufacturing company is seeking a seasoned finance and accounting leader to oversee all core financial operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in manufacturing and cost accounting, who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys building scalable processes in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting functions, including payroll, payables/receivables, and cash flow.
- Lead month-end close and prepare GAAP-compliant financials.
- Oversee inventory and cost tracking across brands and business units.
- Build and maintain forecasting, budgeting, and pricing models.
- Partner with operations on job costing and margin analysis.
- Deliver insights to leadership and support capital planning.
- Ensure internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance.
- Manage banking relationships and covenant reporting.
- Lead and mentor a small finance team.
- 10 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including cost accounting in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in multi-channel consumer products.
- Strong modeling, forecasting, and financial analysis skills.
- Leadership experience with small, high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics or NetSuite.
- CPA preferred.
- Process-oriented, detail-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
