Senior Accountant in Denver, CO at Vaco

Vaco is partnering with a mid-sized industry leading Denver based company looking to hire a high level Senior Accountant. This company is a well established international organization that recently went public and is in need of a talented individual to help oversee their corporate and operational accounting.

Our client is constantly growing and acquiring new assets, and the incoming Manager will need to be a natural leader able to work independently, operate effectively in a fast paced environment, and collaborate across various departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong G/L Accounting, SOX controls, public accounting background, and someone ready and willing to step into a managerial role in the near future.

Responsibilities:

• Oversight of GL accounting, month-end close, AR and billing management, etc.
• Provide support for financial statement preparation and reporting, process improvement and internal control initiatives, etc.
• Participate in complex accounting, regulatory reporting, and other special projects as needed

• 4+ years of public accounting experience or combination public accounting and industry experience;
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting; CPA highly preferred;
• Management experience preferred;
• Experience working with ERP systems preferred;
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP;
• Strong analytical and organizational skills;
• Attention to detail and highly effective planning, organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills;
