Job Description

Our client, located near Little Falls, NJ is adding an Accounting Manager to the team.

In this role the ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Must have strong experience within Real Estate industry working with consolidated financial statements
  • Review and prepare quarterly accruals, reconciliations, financial statements, and journal entries.
  • Work with outside auditors during annual audits and assist the accounting team with preparing forms 10k and 10Q.
  • Review CAM and Real Estate tax true up prepared by accounting team.
  • Provide monthly financial reporting to the partners.
  • Review closing statements for new acquisitions/dispositions, record new acquisitions, set up tenants in accounting software, set up all required amortizations (fixed assets, intangible, straight line etc.)
  • Supervise debt compliance and respond to all inquiries from the lenders
  • Provide executive approval to the coding and payment of all invoices and assist in reviewing private tax returns
  • Create policies and procedures for joint venture reporting, as well as analyzing and recording joint venture financials in order to prepare consolidated financial statements
  • Provide leadership, and training to staff and senior accountants

Requirements for the position include:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 3-4 years of supervising experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong experience with Financial Statements and Consolidations within the Real Estate industry
