A high-growth company in the Westside of Los Angeles is looking for an Assistant Controller to add to their team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Assistant Controller will be responsible for technical accounting research, growing and mentoring a team, and being able to roll up their sleeves and pivot according to business needs. The ideal candidate will be startup capable as the company would like to eventually IPO. The Assistant Controller should be able to see future state needs, have great communication skills, and be a demonstrated people leader. Does this sound like you or someone you know? What do you need for this Assistant Controller role?

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 10+ years of accounting experience, 4+ years of management experience
• Active CPA highly desired
• Public accounting experience would be great
• Advanced Excel
• Start up company experience ideal for the company growth trajectory

What will you do in this Assistant Controller role?

• Own month-end close
• Manage the general ledger and review journal entries of Staff and Senior Accountants
• Oversee AP
• Regulatory and financial reporting
• Implement best practices alongside the Controller that are GAAP compliant
• Assist with coordinating the annual audit and writing technical memos
• Mentor accounting staff and work with them on training and development
