Controller responsibilities:

  • The Controller is responsible for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
  • Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
  • Spearhead the monthly close process and provide variance analysis to senior leadership.
  • Manage inventory and set inventory controls.
  • Oversee cost accounting.
  • The Controller will manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis
  • Establishing and coordinating all accounting procedures for the business unit.
  • Investigating significant trends/variances in financial data
  • The Controller is responsible for the AP, AR, Payroll, and collections functions.
  • Providing daily and/or weekly analysis, and reporting on operational performance as it relates to the business activities including monitoring margins, variances, and giving feedback

Minimum requirements of the Controller:

  • 7-10+ years of relevant and progressive technical and hands-on accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • System savvy and proficient in Excel
  • Manufacturing experience a plus but not required
