As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for all cost accounting activities. This involves preparing and analyzing financial information as well as performing collection duties. You will be accountable for ensuring that all financial deadlines are met.

The Cost Accountant role will be responsible for the following.

  • Gather information and report on manufacturing costs
  • Review bill of materials to set and maintain standard costs
  • Assist in the improvement of Cost systems
  • Prepare Financial Analyses for management
  • Work with purchasing and sales to establish competitive pricing
  • Reconcile inventory, Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Maintain overhead rates, labor, labor routers in ERP system
  • Work with production managers on Inventory Control
  • Labor and Machine Cost Analysis
  • Assist in monthly presentations
  • Participate in month end close
  • Ad hoc Analysis



Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • This person should have two or more years' experience in a Cost environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • The ability to interpret and communicate as well as demonstrated mastery of accounting systems and spreadsheets.
  • Able to work independently and in groups.
