Seeking a Data Engineer for a 100% remote position in the eastern timezone. It is a direct hire/permanent placement/full-time opportunity and salary is flexible but targeting $100,000 - 120,000.

Please note: This is not an IT Support, CyberSecurity, nor is it entry-level Data Engineering. They are looking for someone with previous Data Engineering experience who can help build and own a data environment. The must-have skills listed before are truly must-have and not prefer to have.

This candidate will be:

- Directly interacting with senior executives of the organization to direct on data-related initiatives.
- Build the first analytics environment for this organization, partnering with a vendor at first, and then slowly taking over most responsibilities.
- Make firm data-driven decisions.
- Create visualizations for interactive self-service user solutions.
- Work with multiple on-prem and cloud systems.
- Analyze data, uncover irregularities, and proactively resolve.
- Interview users, gather requirements, brainstorm solutions, plan, implement, test, and maintain data solutions.
- Develop an Azure environment with Data Lake, Synapse Data Platform, PowerBI, and Excel.
- Utilize multiple BI reporting packages (PowerBI, Query Analyzer, and Excel) to create visualizations and analytics for other users to view.
- Integrate data between ERP and CRM platforms using ETL tools.

The right candidate must have:

- 4+ years SQL Server and analytical database experience
- 4 years SQL development experience (Advanced)
- 4 years in data lake/warehouse architecture
- 4 years experience in ETL tools
- 4 years experience in PowerBI development
- 4 years experience in SSIS development
- 4 years experience with FTP Solutions
