Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for leadership and direction of the Marketing and Business Development departments. Formulates and executes marketing plans and budgets consistent with and supportive of annual business plans. Develops and drives digital marketing and public relations efforts, including corporate websites, organic and paid search, display, and social media. Ensures professional business relations exist with customers and their needs are met. Develops a strategic plan for development of new business and provides tactical steps for implementation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

1. Formulates and executes marketing / advertising plan and budgets to develop and drive digital and traditional marketing including public relations messaging across multiple mediums including print, online, social, digital, radio, outdoor and community events while ensuring brand integrity.

2. Establishes strategic marketing and business development plans to achieve corporate objectives.

3. Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.

4. Works directly with senior management to create and execute marketing strategy to achieve loan and deposit growth goals.

5. Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions, includes monitoring competitive products, pricing and marketing
activities.

6. Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, digital media, and direct mail, ensuring brand integrity is delivered.

7. Establishes metrics defining marketing campaign performance; modifies campaigns based on ROI analysis.

8. Plans and delivers primary and secondary market research and member feedback to assess demand, brand positioning and member satisfaction.

9. Develops and manages marketing and business development operating budgets. Manage all financial-related operations of advertising spend ensuring accuracy and reporting is aligned with finance on budget/forecasts on regular basis.

10. Develops and manages key vendor relationships and vendor projects.

11. Researches the demographics of the area in which the business operates and determines population groups serviced by the business. Develops contact lists of potential new SEGs or members to reflect research.

12. Directs mentoring and training of employees on professional and effective interactions with SEGs and other contacts such as the medical district, schools and community partners in promoting the business.

13. Serves as the primary liaison and contact for the business's existing and prospective SEGs and maintains all facets of the relationship. Makes formal presentations at SEGs to introduce the business to employees; answers questions and provides a resource that encourages participation.
14. Maintains a visible presence in the local community and sponsor community. Promotes the business through visible participation in business, community and charitable organizations and activities. Proactively seek and manage strategic executive visibility opportunities for the business.
15. Maintains in-depth knowledge of business products and services, leads in the development and introduction of new products and services.
16. Maintains current knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, channels, products and services.
17. Responsible for developing a consistent messaging strategy to elevate brand integrity that is reflected across all product and service programs. Identifies targeted member segments and develops plan for all member communications to ensure a consistent member experience and brand alignment.

18. Builds solid reputation of a socially responsible company, giving back to their community by identifying unique opportunities to promote the business at a variety of local community, business events, integrating well-positioned non-profit sponsorships, coordinating and planning company-wide volunteerism backed by a public and community relations effort.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent progressive experience and training. MBA preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Strong understanding of financial institutions, business development and management.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 10+ years of successful experience in a related field. Financial institution experience preferred. Prior team management experience of 3+ years preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical Office environment. Attendance of after-hours events, some weekend events necessary
