Vaco Atlanta is working with a rapidly growing healthcare company in Marietta, GA that's seeking an experienced Healthcare Data Analyst to join their team (on a contract to hire basis). The Analyst will be supporting various business units and all cross-departmental analytical projects and must be able to understand database concepts, table design and data normalization. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for the development and design of reports and analyses utilizing MS Excel and MS Access.
  • Exercising strong data mining techniques and developing new reports
  • Responsible for analyzing report requests to determine users need and objectives
  • Design and enhance database to support reporting and analysis needs, including testing and validating data integrity
  • Heavy participation in analysis, interpretation, and translation of complex health data and trends and developing effective corrective strategies and action plans
  • Manage the coordination and translation of data into business intelligence using tools such as Power BI.
  • Operational areas of analytical support to include revenue cycle, productivity, financial, and clinical quality and safety.
  • Manage the oversight, management, and routing of our helpdesk ticketing system, Sysaid.
  • Extract data from EMR (electronic medical record system - Epic) to populate clinical quality dashboard quarterly for both physicians and anesthetists.
  • Manipulate revenue cycle data to provide intelligence surrounding the performance of our billing and collecting division.
  • Perform utilization studies at each facility we serve.
  • Perform ad hoc data analysis as requested by Practice Administrator or CEO.
  • Serve as project manager to aid Practice Administrator as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business administration, finance, math, or related field
  • Excellent communication skills as the role will be interfacing with various departments and remote locations
  • 3+ years of relative experience in data analysis and report writing
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, advanced formulas etc)
  • Macros / VBA (Excel) and/or SQL (database) experience are a big plus
  • Extensive experience with large data sets with complex designs
  • Extensive experience in database manipulation, running queries, and generating reports
  • Experience in the healthcare field preferred but not required
