Job Description

Vaco is looking for a mid-level Project Manager for our client in Clearwater.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the quality, schedule, and budget of a project while proactively monitoring project performance. Balances the competing pressures presented by the customer's needs, the team's capabilities, the scheduling / resource constraints, and the general business environment. Acts as the focal point and liaison of the project for the customer, project team, and management and ensures all processes and software development methodologies are employed as appropriate.


  • Collaborates with IT Management to ensure projects and work efforts are entered into project management system and effectively managed throughout the work efforts life cycle.
  • Monitors project activity against budgeting forecasts to ensure forecasted activities are set-up correctly in the project management system for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Works with Finance to refine project costing and forecasting processes.
  • Proactively identifies potential issues, alerts key stakeholders and takes actions to assure compliance with plans.
  • Drives project deliverables and objectives.
  • Assists with mentoring all IT Management and team members on project management methodologies, policies and toolsets.
  • Generates and publishes IT Communications including an online project management portal.
  • Assists in the creation of communication documentation for the project prioritization process, including follow up on action items, editing and verifying details, meeting with Team Members, Business Customers, and Management to gather data, Requirements, and end state goals to formulate a concise project plan that delivers a holistic project plan.
  • Develops thorough project plans including all activities, dates, responsibilities, and dependencies


  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.
  • Able to adjust readily to change and adapt as needed. Able to interact effectively with all levels of management.
  • Able to identify areas of risk/concern in area of responsibility. Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Able to stay with a position or plan of action until the desired objective is achieved.
  • Knowledge of Systems Development Life-Cycle (SDLC).
