Mechanical/Electrical Assembler in Pompano Beach, FL at Vaco

Job Description

Vaco is hiring for a Mechanical/Electrical Assembler located in Pompano Beach, FL.

Overview:

• Assemble and fabricate pump station mechanical assemblies from shop drawings and other documentation
• Drilling, cutting of pipe and sheet metal
• Operating band saw, drill press, roll groove machine and heat fusion machine
• Build electrical panels from schematics
• Assist with field work installation when required

CRITICAL NEEDS:

• Accurate, timely, and take pride in workmanship
• Organized and able to work multiple projects simultaneously by priority
• 1-3 years of experience working as an Electrician, mechanical assembly, or irrigation background strongly desired
• Team player able to build solid working relationships with co-workers
• Energetic & optimistic attitude
• Ability to multi-task without compromising quality

BASIC ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Drug Free Workplace
• Some overnight travel
• Must understand basic math and be able to take accurate measurements
• Must be able to pass OSHA 10 hour safety class or have current certification
• Must be proficient in reading and writing English
• Basic computer skills required
• Clean background check
• Driver license required
• Fork Truck certification or experience
• Able to lift up to 50LBS

Education Requirement - HS Diploma, some college or trades training
Work Hours - 7am to 3:30 M-F, Overtime as Required
