A Day in the Life

Your CFO client just called. Her accounting department could use help prepping for an upcoming audit. Or maybe she needs a seasoned project manager to lead a merger integration. As the Business Development Specialist, it is up to you, in partnership with your recruiting team, to deliver the right consultant at the right time. This critical position is responsible for promoting Vaco to area businesses for critical projects in audit, tax, finance, senior accounting, and more such as:

  • Markets services to fulfill human capital needs in project consulting and contract-to-hire positions within senior-level accounting and finance.
  • Identifies and secures new and existing business relationships.
  • Conducts outreach to area business leaders by phone, email, in-person meetings, and other methods.
  • Consults with hiring managers in the selection process
  • Manages open opportunities while working with internal recruiters
  • Markets consultants and candidates for open positions
  • Other duties as assigned.

What we are seeking:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. CPA, CFA, MBA or related designation highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years' in accounting/financial consulting and/or audit.
  • Public Accounting and/or Big Four experience highly preferred.
  • Business Development in a consulting practice (interim, project and outsourced solutions).
