SUMMARY
The Store Manager will be responsible for visiting and supporting the local Express Store of their specific
region, including but not limited to meeting/exceeding all financial and sales goals, properly operating
the store on a day-to-day basis, and complying with all company policies and procedures.
The Express Store Manager must ensure exceptional customer service and maintain company standards
of quality in all areas in a pleasant and positive environment and other duties as assigned/requested.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Support the daily operations of the express store
● Perform a variety of duties personally and/or supervise employees performing duties
● Train, develop, and assess the performance of sales associates in all aspects of the business to
ensure they have the skills, product knowledge, and operations skills to provide a quality
customer experience
● Train employees that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a
welcoming, helpful environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer,
exchanging names, maintaining outstanding standards, demonstrating solid product knowledge,
and meeting all other components of the company's customer service guidelines
● While at the Express Store location ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise
presentations, and signage is current and displayed properly
● Responsible for ensuring clean stores that include fixtures, shelves, baskets, desks, tasting bar,
register counters, kitchen, conference room, backroom, bathroom, and floor according to
company policy
● Assist in documenting and apply adjustments on the return of damaged, breakage and spoilage,
or discontinued products
● Review store trends and report such trends to the Director of Express Stores-CA
● Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management
meetings, store walk-through, and audits, etc.
● Operate the cash register, accept payment, make change, provide receipts, perform end-of-day
process and daily reconciliation
● Adhere to company procedures for cash handling, inbound & transfer of products, invoicing, will
calls & samples, and security & safety
● Communicate effectively with the Director of Express Stores-CA and peers.
● Collaborate with the Director of Express Stores-CA to establish clear performance goals and
objectives
● Monitor, analyze and measure sales performance; develop and implement plans to maximize
sales and meet or exceed sales goals/quotas and objectives for the region.
● Other duties may be assigned by management
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION
● A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred; or equivalent
experience
● 5 years of retail experience and retail management preferred
● Must have experience in supervision, management, and training of employees
● Extensive cash handling experience, which requires the ability to perform simple math functions,
calculate discounts, percentages, and volumes

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
This position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional
journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. This position further requires the ability to
write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. This position also requires the ability
to effectively present information and respond to questions or groups of managers, customers, and
employees

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
This position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This position also requires the ability to compute rate,
ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. This position also requires the ability to deal with problems
involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

SKILLS/ABILITIES
● Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) environment.
● Strong sales skills and the ability to ensure customer satisfaction on a daily basis while
maintaining operations within a retail store environment.
● Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with an emphasis on
building partnerships.
● Strong organizational and time management skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - (These are required to perform the key responsibilities of the job with or
without accommodations)
● Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
● Must be able to walk, stand, climb, balance, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or
crawl daily
● Must be able to drive a reliable vehicle from account to account

process and strategy.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $65,000 - $67,000 per year. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
