

Interim Director of Revenue Cycle POST NUMBER: 457565
Vaco is searching for an Interim Director of Revenue Cycle Management who will oversee the day-to-day accounts receivable function for a multi-location healthcare services organization we work with. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has a full understanding of all facets of the revenue cycle process AND who is capable/interested in managing a decentralized revenue cycle team operating on different RCM platforms.
This role has the potential to turn permanent for a Metro Atlanta based candidate as our client is experiencing exponential growth and a hybrid work environment is desired, however for a "consulting only" candidate, the role can be remote (East or Central Time Preferred) and last into 2026. Rate is targeted at $75 to $100 an hour and is negotiable depending on experience and history.

The Director of Revenue Cycle will be responsible for:
- Building and managing in-house patient account management and billing to ensure revenue maximization
- Collecting, analyzing and interpreting volume and reimbursement data on an ongoing basis
- Providing statistical and analytical support to senior administration
- Supervising a team by developing employees and providing effective performance management, including setting goals and objectives, and corrective action plans
- Defining the competencies required for medical billing professionals
- Negotiating and maintaining relationships with other third party payers and managed care plans (e.g., contracts)
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to increase departmental efficiency and effectiveness
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree required. MBA a plus
- 10 years of experience as a Revenue Cycle Operations leader in a large multi-location Physician Practice setting and/or a 3rd party medical billing firm
- Management of a large (>20 ee) RCM team
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
