The Real Estate Paralegal provides comprehensive legal and administrative support to attorneys in all aspects of commercial and residential real estate transactions. This role involves managing due diligence, reviewing and organizing closing documents, preparing title and survey summaries, and coordinating closings from contract through post-closing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Assist attorneys with all phases of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing.

Conduct and review title, survey, zoning, and lien searches, identifying and resolving exceptions and discrepancies.

Coordinate due diligence materials, manage document checklists, and prepare closing binders and post-closing documentation.

Draft and revise real estate documents such as deeds, mortgages, closing statements, escrow instructions, and lease summaries.

Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel to facilitate smooth closings and timely issue resolution.

Prepare and file UCC financing statements, entity formation documents, and other corporate filings as required.

Maintain electronic and physical transaction files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm policies and deadlines.
Qualifications

Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred

3–5 years of experience as a real estate paralegal in a law firm, title company, or in-house legal department.

Strong understanding of title and survey review, loan documentation, and closing procedures.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems; experience with title software and e-recording preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and organizational skills
