Director of FP&A - Technical Operations POST NUMBER: 458614
Our client, a biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Director of FP&A to lead financial planning for its Technical Operations function.
Location:
San Francisco, CA. This position is hybrid, with in-office expectations on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Job Description:
This role will be in charge of building and leading the FP&A team, and will be responsible for supporting Technical Operations, working closely with cross-functional leaders across R&D, Technical Operations, Supply Chain, and Corporate Finance to enable the successful advancement of the pipeline and commercial supply readiness.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development of annual operating plans and long-range strategic forecasts for CMC and manufacturing.
- Partner with manufacturing teams to optimize cost of goods, assess capacity, and evaluate external manufacturing agreements.
- Conduct investment analysis and ROI assessments for product launches, technology transfers, and scale-up activities.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls and deliver accurate reporting and KPIs.
- Build and mentor a high-performing FP&A team supporting Technical Operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 12 years of progressive FP&A experience, including support for CMC functions in biotech/pharma.
- Strong financial modeling and scenario analysis skills.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex financial concepts.
