Vaco is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a growing Finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Process full-cycle payroll for employees, including data entry, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, bonuses, and other compensation.
  • Collaborate with HR to verify employee data, resolve discrepancies, and address payroll-related inquiries.
  • Stay updated on relevant tax regulations, labor laws, and compliance requirements to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and external agencies as required.
  • Assist in implementing and improving payroll processes and systems.
  • Address and resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in using payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive employee information.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet tight deadlines.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
