Vaco is seeking a shipping Shipping and Receiving Coordinator that is responsible for inspecting items received and shipping to vendors/customers per our client's procedures. Also, responsible for maintaining inventory and warehouse per procedures and policies.

This is a salaried position ($50K - $65K depending on experience) and requires on-call availability to accept and inspect deliveries at our client's Peachtree Corners location. Sometimes these deliveries come in during the overnight hours so we are looking for someone that lives in close proximity and is comfortable being on-call for off-hour deliveries.  

Duties and responsibilities

Daily

•    Understand and follow various procedures for Shipping and Receiving, including material and traceability controls. 
•    Perform required inspections of components and assemblies (electrical, mechanical, and chemical) on and off-site.
•    Review item information and verify it meets purchase order and other documentation requirements during Shipping and Receiving activities.
•    Complete necessary documentation after inspections are performed.
•    Communicate with all internal departments and vendors in providing status updates and requesting technical information.
•    Provide logistics support for customers and other internal departments.
•    Preparing and assembling crates for shipment.
•    Maintain product traceability, storage and warehouse orderliness.
•    Maintain (on and off-site) inventory locations.
•    Ship items to vendors/customers using appropriate shipping and packaging methods in order to avoid damage to the parts during shipping and handling.
•    Complete required paperwork to ship items domestic and international locations.
•    Creating non-conformance reports and reporting any quality issues to the manager.

Periodic
•    Witness subcontracted activities in accordance with quality procedures.
•    Some local travel required to drop-ship parts to testing locations.
•    Provide support in training new employees or other department personnel when required
•    Support other internal functions and processes when required



Qualifications

•    Must have minimum one year experience in performing warehouse, shipping and inventory control functions
•    Experience is handling, shipping and packaging electrical and mechanical components is preferred
•    Understanding the electronic Database usage and provide necessary input to provide current status and accurate information.
•    Ability to lift 25 lbs, bend over, walk, reach overhead, step on a small ladder.  Pass a J1 eye test.
•    Be able to work in office and warehouse environment
•    Ability to operate Forklift - forklift certification is a requirement for this role.
•    Must have good organization and communication skills
•    Ability to follow instructions and work under strict quality controls
