Accounts Receivable and Collections Lead POST NUMBER: 460146
Our client, a fast-growing AI technology company, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable and Collections Lead to join their expanding finance team.
Location:
San Francisco, CA. This position is hybrid, with in-office expectations 2 days per week.
Job Description:
This is a strategic leadership role with full ownership of the global AR and collections function, offering the opportunity to build scalable processes and lead cross-functional initiatives in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities:
- Own the full AR lifecycle from invoice delivery through cash application, ensuring optimal collection performance and strong DSO management.
- Develop and implement AR and collections policies, procedures, and documentation to support scalability and compliance.
- Build and lead a high-performing AR & Collections team, setting priorities and driving results.
- Lead system evaluations and implementations for AR platforms and tools in collaboration with Finance Systems and Engineering.
- Deliver analytics and dashboards to track collections effectiveness, credit risk, and operational performance.
- Ensure audit readiness and support month-end close activities including reconciliations and bad debt assessments.
- Drive cross-functional projects across Finance, Sales, Legal, and Engineering.
Requirements:
- 15 years of progressive AR and collections experience in high-growth and public technology companies.
- 5 years of leadership experience with a proven track record in scaling teams and driving performance.
- Deep understanding of AR-related accounting principles, GAAP, and ASC 606.
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and dashboard tools.
- Proven success in process improvement, automation, and cross-functional project leadership.
