Sr. Manager of SEC & Technical Accounting POST NUMBER: 460112
Our client, a global medical technology company, is seeking a Senior Manager to lead SEC reporting and technical accounting.
Location:
Sunnyvale, CA. This position is hybrid, with in-office expectations Tuesday through Thursday.
Job Description:
This role offers high visibility across the organization and the opportunity to shape the future of the reporting function.
Responsibilities:
- Lead preparation and filing of SEC reports (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy statements) in compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations
- Manage reporting calendar and coordinate with internal teams for timely and accurate disclosures
- Oversee internal controls and aspects of the close process, including share-based compensation accounting
- Monitor regulatory changes and recommend updates to disclosures and processes
- Provide mentorship and training to junior team members and stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support government reporting accuracy
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in public accounting or industry
- CPA and bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, US GAAP, and XBRL tagging
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience managing complex reporting projects under tight deadlines
