Key Responsibilities
- Review Federal and State income tax returns prepared by the tax team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Identify opportunities to improve tax return preparation processes and implement best practices.
- Assist in the preparation and review of complex corporate tax returns.
- Collaborate with local finance contacts across the U.S. to obtain and analyze financial data supporting tax calculations.
- Research and provide guidance on various Federal and State tax matters.
- Utilize OneSource tax software for tax return preparation, processing, and research.
- Review and coordinate the preparation and filing of quarterly income tax estimates and extensions.
- Review and prepare documentation related to mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.
- Ensure timely filing and review of FBAR, 1042, 1099, and 1120F tax filings.
- Mentor and supervise junior tax professionals, providing training, guidance, and professional development support.
- Work cross-functionally with global teams to support tax planning and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required;
- Certification: CPA or MST certification preferred.
- Experience:
- 6–10 years of progressive corporate tax experience, including compliance and review responsibilities.
- Prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm highly desired.
