Accounts Payable Specialist POST NUMBER: 399574
Vaco is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with a passion for environmental sustainability. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions, contributing to the financial health of our organization and supporting our commitment to eco-friendly practices.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions for goods and services related to environmental initiatives.
- Verify and code invoices, ensuring adherence to sustainability policies and guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to obtain necessary approvals for payment processing.
- Execute payments using eco-friendly methods such as electronic transfers and automated clearing house (ACH) transactions.
- Reconcile vendor statements, proactively resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.
- Communicate with vendors, addressing inquiries and ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Participate in month-end close activities, providing valuable support to financial reporting.
- Stay abreast of environmental regulations and industry best practices related to accounting and accounts payable.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable accounting practices.
- Utilize accounting software and tools to enhance the efficiency of accounts payable processes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist, preferably in an environmental or sustainability-focused company.
- Strong knowledge of sustainability practices and their integration into financial processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable business practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
