As business complexity increases across finance, operations, supply chain, and technology, the organization is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to elevate strategic financial leadership while overseeing broad operational functions. The CFO will partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to drive financial discipline, optimize capital structure, and build a scalable enterprise foundation.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Financial Officer will serve as the senior financial and operational executive accountable for financial strategy, capital structure, systems modernization, and operational excellence. This individual will lead Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, IT, Supply Chain, Fleet, and Facilities, ensuring cross-functional alignment and performance.
A key priority will be managing the company’s capital structure, including debt refinancing, lender relations, and long-term financing strategy. The CFO will also directly oversee the Corporate Controller, who manages day-to-day controllership, reporting, compliance, and technical accounting (ASC 606 & ASC 842).
This is a high-impact, highly visible role responsible for shaping the company’s financial and operational future.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Strategy & Capital Structure
- Lead capital structure initiatives, including debt refinancing, covenant compliance, and lender negotiations.
- Oversee treasury operations, liquidity management, and cash forecasting.
- Drive long-term financial planning and enterprise-level decision support.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins, reduce costs, and increase operational leverage.
- Lead Accounting, Finance, IT, Supply Chain, Fleet, and Facilities.
- Directly oversee the Corporate Controller, ensuring strong controllership, GAAP compliance, and accurate financial reporting.
- Build and develop high-performing leaders across each functional area.
- Establish a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Provide oversight for technical accounting matters including ASC 606 (revenue) and ASC 842 (leases).
- Guide audit processes, internal controls, risk management, and financial governance.
- Partner with the Controller to streamline and accelerate the close process.
- Provide senior leadership to IT on systems strategy, cybersecurity, infrastructure, data governance, and technology roadmaps.
- Oversee continued optimization of ERP and related enterprise systems.
- Drive automation, efficiency, and digital transformation initiatives across finance, supply chain, fleet management, and facilities operations.
- Partner with operations to align financial processes with service delivery, field operations, and customer experience.
- Oversee supply chain strategy, vendor management, inventory planning, procurement, and logistics.
- Lead fleet operations including lifecycle management, cost optimization, and contract negotiations.
- Provide senior oversight of facilities planning, maintenance, safety compliance, and expansion initiatives.
- Build integrated operating metrics that create line-of-sight into performance across all operational areas.
- Support strategic decision-making across pricing, capital allocation, new market entry, product offerings, and investments.
- Lead scenario modeling and business case development for key initiatives.
- Partner closely with Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to drive enterprise-level alignment.
- Support M&A evaluation, due diligence, integration, and financial alignment.
DESIRED BACKGROUND:
- 15 years of progressive leadership experience with time spent as a CFO, VP Finance, or Corporate Controller in a mid-market company.
- Demonstrated experience in debt refinancing, lender communications, capital strategy, and treasury leadership.
- Oversight experience across Accounting, Finance, IT, Supply Chain, Fleet, or Facilities strongly preferred.
- Background in technology-enabled services, subscription-based models, security/field services, telecom, home services, or other operationally intensive businesses.
- Strong ERP experience
- CPA and/or MBA ideal; strong technical accounting acumen required.
- Track record of operational transformation, process improvement, and building scalable teams.
