Role Overview

This temporary Accounts Receivable support role is focused on strengthening billing accuracy and recovering revenue tied to short-paid invoices. The position centers heavily on outbound customer communication to validate billing information and resolve discrepancies. You’ll partner closely with the AR team and finance leadership to ensure accounts are properly documented and follow-up actions are executed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Billing & Account Verification

  • Contact customers to confirm billing contacts, email information, submission methods, portal access, remittance details, and contract or PO references

  • Ensure all verified information is accurately updated in the AR system, including detailed call notes and outcomes

Dispute Resolution & Collections Support

  • Analyze payment activity, deductions, and related documentation to determine causes of underpayments

  • Prepare and issue dispute or appeal communications supported by invoices, contracts, proof of service or delivery, and other required documentation

  • Submit disputes through customer portals or via email, following client-specific procedures

  • Flag unresolved or high-value issues and recommend next steps to AR leadership

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or a similar customer-facing finance role (contract or temporary experience acceptable)

  • Confident and professional phone presence with strong written communication skills

  • Experience working with customer billing or payment portals

  • Strong attention to detail with consistent documentation habits

  • Comfortable working against deadlines, call volume expectations, and recovery targets
