Job Overview:
Vaco is currently seeking accounting professionals for a Collections position. The Collections Specialist will support the finance and accounting team by processing and managing accounts received and providing financial, clerical, and administrative services to complete efficient, timely, and accurate payments on accounts, and will report to the Accounts Receivable supervisor.?
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and review outstanding balances and related account activity.
- Communicate with clients to follow up on past due items and support payment arrangements.
- Assist in establishing timelines and plans for payment collections.
- Collaborate with internal teams to research and resolve account discrepancies.
- Support initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of collections processes.
- Prepare reports and summaries for internal stakeholders to track performance.
- Respond to inquiries regarding account and collections activities.
- Assist with audit and compliance activities as needed.
- Maintain documentation of processes and procedures.
- Support special projects and other tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree?required.
- Experience in billing, collections, or related processes.
- Familiarity with professional services or similar environments preferred.
- Ability to manage tasks accurately and independently
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using office software and other business systems.
- Proficiency in software and ERP systems; experience 3E, Elite Enterprise preferred.
