Our client provides financial services, providing comprehensive retail, leasing, and wholesale financial services to dealerships and customers across Canada. As a key player in the financial services industry, they are currently expanding their team to support major digital transformation initiatives.
About the Opportunity
This is a newly created leadership role designed to support a growing team and a multi-year digital transformation project launching in January 2026. This high-visibility position involves replacing legacy mainframe systems with cloud-based solutions and offers significant exposure to senior executives and board members.

Role Focus: You will be responsible for "keeping the lights on" while managing key vendors (including TCI/Tata) and assisting the CIO in the successful delivery of cloud migration projects.

Work Model: Mandatory 3 days onsite per week (currently Tuesday to Thursday).

Location: Markham, ON

Hours: Standard business hours (8:30 am to 5:00 pm).

Team: You will lead one Analyst and manage various vendors, with plans for two additional future hires.
About You
-
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience within IT production and infrastructure support teams.

Leadership: At least 7 years of IT management or leadership experience.

Cloud Migration: Excellent hands-on experience migrating on-prem legacy infrastructure to the cloud.

Disaster Recovery: Proven experience leading Disaster Recovery (DR) practices and supporting Business Continuity Planning (BCP) initiatives.

Frameworks: Strong proficiency in ITIL processes, specifically incident, change, and problem management.

Communication: Nearly perfect communication skills, with the ability to work closely with internal stakeholders, US-based teams, and diverse vendors (IaaS, Network, On-Prem, and Telephony).

Experience with Alpha (highly preferred vendor experience).

Experience managing complex digital transformations from mainframe to cloud environments.

Background in financial services or automotive credit industries.
Salary Range
$130,000/year
