Collections & Client Relations Specialist POST NUMBER: 466899
Position Overview: Our firm is looking for a Collections & Client Relations Specialist to support our revenue cycle operations. This role serves as a critical bridge between our legal professionals and clients, focusing on accounts receivable resolution and maintaining positive client relationships while ensuring timely payment collection.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner directly with billing partners, legal staff, and support teams to facilitate payment discussions and resolve outstanding balance concerns
- Act as the primary point of contact for approximately 75 billing professionals, managing their complete portfolio of accounts receivable
- Monitor and address aging receivables (60 days), outstanding credit balances, and unbilled time requiring attention
- Conduct proactive client outreach through multiple channels (telephone, email, written correspondence) to discuss payment arrangements and resolve billing discrepancies
- Track and manage portfolio metrics including days sales outstanding, aging trends, and collection risk factors
- Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on collection performance, at-risk accounts, and portfolio health
- Process collection inquiries with speed and precision while maintaining professional client relationships
- Collaborate with team members and department leadership on complex collection scenarios
- Support onboarding and development of new department staff as required
Required Qualifications:
- 2-5 years professional services experience OR 1-2 years in accounts receivable/collections capacity
- Self-directed work style with strong professional presence
- Superior organizational capabilities with ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for problem resolution
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
- Professional relationship management skills with sound business judgment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial operations
- Four-year degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered
