Vaco Phoenix is hiring for a top client in Central Phoenix seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This role supports the monthly close, general ledger, and audit processes. This is a permanent, fully onsite position, paying up to $75,000.

Responsibilities

Assist with monthly close and financial reporting
Prepare and post journal entries
Perform account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP
Support revenue recognition and audits
Assist with entity consolidations
Reconcile 401(k), FSA, and HSA accounts
Handle ad hoc accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2 years of accounting experience
Working knowledge of GAAP
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
