Training & Development Specialist (Temporary)
Location: Goodlettsville, TN (Onsite preferred or Remote)
Job Type: Temporary (6 months, potential to extend)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (40 hours/week)

Salary: $45-60/hr
Position Overview
We are seeking a Training & Development Specialist to support the design, development, and coordination of training materials during a major organizational transformation. This role partners closely with Learning & Development, Finance Process Leads, Change Management teams, and external partners to deliver high-quality, timely training content.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong instructional design background and project management skills, who enjoys translating complex finance processes into clear, engaging learning materials. Please note: this role focuses on developing training content—not delivering it.
Key Responsibilities
Training Development

Design and develop training content across multiple modalities, including Instructor-Led Training materials and reference guides, based on test scripts and process documentation

Collaborate with subject matter experts and external partners to validate accuracy and incorporate feedback efficiently

Manage training development timelines, deliverables, and dependencies in alignment with the overall training strategy

Upload, organize, and maintain training materials on SharePoint or other shared platforms (LMS currently under evaluation)
Training Logistics & Coordination

Coordinate training schedules and logistics in partnership with Change Management, business teams, and testing calendars

Support Train-the-Trainer and training context sessions to ensure trainers are prepared to deliver content

Serve as a primary point of contact for trainers, providing resources and ongoing support

Partner with Finance Change and Process Leads to support training communications, gather feedback, and address identified training gaps

Manage training access and uploads for end users
Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong instructional design experience (training development only)

Familiarity with finance processes such as Accounts Payable (AP) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) strongly preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint

Experience managing training reviews, schedules, and stakeholder communications

Solid project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities

Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners

Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
