Position: Workday Project Manager

Summary: Vaco Staffing is performing a search for a Workday Project Manager with a Fortune-500 Industry Leader, lots of growth potential and room for advancement. In-depth, specialized Workday HR Module Project Management experience is a must-have. Company is migrating away from iCIMS, integrating Workday recruit, looking for Workday Recruit experience, testing and planning, end-to-end phase and Go Live. Additional work might include management of hiring events through CRM and vendor management processes within module. 

Work Types/Work Setting
Contract-To-Hire: Position will start out as a 3-month contract with a high probability of extension along with conversion if it is a mutual fit. 

LocationOpen to Remote candidates with the right skillset, worksite is in Miami for initial meeting for 1-week period onsite and then open to fully remote, preference for local candidates but not a deal-breaker. 

Compensation: 50-75/HR w2, if candidate is interested in converting and it is a mutual fit for client, conversion salary is currently at 110k-120k, but client is open to review compensation based on market rates for viable talent. 

Role Overview:

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in:

  • Project Coordination: Developing strategies, timelines, and allocating resources efficiently to ensure the successful execution of a Workday Recruitment initiative.
  • Engagement with Key Stakeholders: Collaborating with essential personnel such as HR and business executives to comprehend their requirements, maintaining regular updates, and striving for their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Requirements Analysis: Engaging with key stakeholders to identify business needs and tailoring the Workday Recruitment solution to meet these specifications.
  • System Optimization: Tailoring the Workday Recruitment framework to align with company-specific operational processes.
  • Quality Control and Testing: Ensuring the system operates flawlessly and fulfills all criteria through thorough testing and engaging end-users in the process.
  • Educational Support and Transition Management: Guiding users on the effective use of the Workday Recruitment system and facilitating the transition to new workflows.
  • Troubleshooting: Addressing and resolving any issues that arise, ensuring project consistency and efficiency.
  • Project Oversight: Monitoring project compliance, conducting regular status meetings, progress reporting, and managing significant challenges.
  • External Collaboration: Coordinating with external vendors or consultants to ensure project objectives are achieved on schedule.
  • Continual Support Post-Deployment: Providing ongoing assistance post-implementation for queries, enhancements, and updates to the system.

Job Requirements:

  • Certifications: Workday Human Resources and Project Management certifications are all strong nice-to-haves but the most important requirement is a proven track record of success in the project management and implementation of Workday Recruit modules. 
  • Experience: At least 7 years of hands-on involvement in comprehensive Workday implementations with a specialization in Workday Recruit, showcasing a strong background in strategy, planning, and execution within Human Capital Management (HCM) projects, including recruitment, finance, comprehensive testing phases, and overall project lifecycle management.
  • Attributes: The ideal candidate will exhibit a positive outlook, readiness to contribute immediately, and substantial experience in project risk management, communication of project statuses, and resolution strategies.
  • Change Leadership: Demonstrated proficiency in preparing for and implementing change management initiatives, including developing and executing training programs.

This role demands a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate complex project environments efficiently.
