Accounts Payable Analyst I (Remote – Nashville, TN Based)
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire (3–6 months)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexibility available)
Location: 100% Remote (Must be able to attend monthly in-office meetings in Nashville, TN)
Pay: Dependent on Experience (DOE)
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst I to join a fast-paced, high-volume accounting team. This role focuses on analytical problem-solving, invoice research, and vendor support rather than basic data entry. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a remote environment while collaborating closely with a team.
This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for long-term growth, including advancement to Analyst II or Senior Analyst roles.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and statement reconciliation

Review and validate purchase orders, invoices, and vendor statements for accuracy and compliance

Research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies by partnering with vendors, procurement, and internal teams

Provide professional support and troubleshooting for assigned vendors

Maintain accurate documentation and follow-up on outstanding issues

Analyze AP data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities

Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and support continuous improvement

Assist with audits, management requests, and provide backup coverage as needed

Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Work within an automated ticketing system, processing an average of 100 invoices per week
Required Qualifications
-
0–2 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience

Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas

Experience with an ERP or accounting system (SAP or Ariba preferred)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently in a remote setting while contributing to a team environment
Preferred Qualifications

Manufacturing or high-volume accounting experience

Exposure to SAP, Ariba, or similar ERP systems

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Education
