Our client, a leading hardware technology company at the forefront of large-scale computing innovation, is seeking a Manager of Data Center Asset Management and Accounting.
Location:
This position is on-site 3 days per week in Sunnyvale, CA.
Job Description:
The organization is experiencing rapid growth and is building scalable processes to support an expanding global footprint. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high?velocity environment and wants to shape foundational accounting and asset management capabilities as the company matures.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end?to?end accounting and tracking of data center assets, ensuring accurate verification, capitalization, depreciation, and disposition of fixed assets.
- Maintain and improve asset tracking processes, internal controls, and system accuracy while partnering with Supply Chain, Infrastructure, FP&A, and Accounting teams to support forecasting, cost modeling, and spend allocation.
- Lead periodic physical inventory efforts and ensure alignment between physical and system records.
- Strengthen and document scalable asset management procedures as the company grows.
- Drive process optimization initiatives, improve reporting and automation, and support compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and audit requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5 years of experience across public accounting and/or hardware, manufacturing, or infrastructure?intensive environments.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and fixed asset processes.
- Demonstrated experience improving and automating asset?related processes and controls.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite).
