Accounts Payable Specialist POST NUMBER: 406628
Vaco is currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join a wonderful team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions, including matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Code invoices accurately and enter them into the accounting system.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process payments to vendors via check, ACH, or wire transfer.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices.
- Stay updated on accounts payable regulations and best practices.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
